Fresh Metal speeds ahead with production of key parts for Ginetta race cars

Full service sheet metalwork manufacturer, Fresh Metal, has supplied Yorkshire-based racing car manufacturer, Ginetta, with a series of bespoke components that form part of its G40 and G55 sports cars.

As a preferred supplier of Ginetta, Fresh Metal was recently selected to produce more than 900 laser cut plates to form part of the structure of its G55 GT4 and G55 GT3 race cars, which compete throughout the summer months in various championships.

The sheet metalwork manufacturer has also created kits of parts to assist the vehicle’s revised suspension systems, all assembled by Fresh Metal’s expert fabrication team.

Ginetta started working with Fresh Metal in 2007 and regularly tasks the metalwork specialist with manufacturing a range of parts for its race cars, the majority of which are laser cut using a revolutionary Bystronic Fibre machine. Up to three-times faster than the standard CO2 laser cutting systems, this new technology has enabled the team to complete projects more efficiently than ever before, without compromising on the quality of the finished product.
