Up-and-coming Yorkshire motorbike racer sponsored by Fresh Metal
September 15, 2017Full service sheet metalwork manufacturer, Fresh Metal, has sponsored an up-and-coming motorbike racer who, thanks to the funding, is now one step closer to achieving his dream of becoming a professional superbike racer.
Scott Ogden has been racing motorbikes since the age of six and his talent was recently spotted by Charles Corner, managing director of Fresh Metal. Charles is an avid motorbike racer himself and recognised 13-year-old Scott as one of the most promising young riders in his field.
To help progress his career, Fresh Metal has financially supported Scott by gifting him the necessary funds to enter the Microlise Cresswell Racing Team in the British Superbike Motostar support series.
Scott said: “Motorbike racing is my number one passion and thanks to my generous sponsors, I’ve been able to partake in races I may not have been able to compete in otherwise. I’m really grateful to Fresh Metal for helping me reach the class I am competing in today and I hope to do everyone proud in my future races.”
After his debut in 2010 aged just six, Scott has continued to show incredible potential with a vast number of podium wins and pole positions in a plethora of races, including winning the GP70 championship in 2016.
Charles Corner, managing director of Fresh Metal, said: “Being a keen motorbike racer myself, I quickly recognised how talented Scott is and felt strongly about helping him in his endeavour to become a competitive superbike racer. By sponsoring him, we have given him the necessary funds to enter into the British Superbike Motorstar support series, an exciting moment in Scott’s racing career, which we are positive he will excel in.
“It’s a proud moment for the Fresh Metal team to see Scott racing with the company logo on his bike, and we are pleased to be able to offer our support to such a keen and dedicated young racer.”
